The tooth fairy flies to staple center when Dwayne Douglas Johnson went to the Kings-Bruinsgame last Saturday to promote his new movie the “Tooth Fairy” that is set to open on January 22, 2010.
The Rock as Tooth Fairy
The preparation of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for his new movie, “Tooth Fairy,” had been really challenging. To be more specific, the actor used the term “sobering” to describe what he had been through when preparing for the movie. Johnson had no skating experience since he was young, but because the role of a professional hockey player in the movie was given to him, he needs to train himself how to skate very well.
“I went on the ice and I had to not only learn how to skate, but try and skate as if I’ve been skating since I was five years old like a lot of the hockey players,” Johnson stated. “It was a very sobering experience for me because I learned right away that it’s going to be next to impossible to learn how to skate that well within a two-week time period.”
The former wrestling popular icon, also popular as Rocky Maivia and The Rock, represents a professional hockey player who earned the nickname “The Tooth Fairy” because of his unique capability to knock out the teeth of other players.

However, the character he performed also has the unfortunate possibility to shatter the dreams of children. Because of this habit, he was punished to spend time as a real tooth fairy.
Johnson leads a star-studded cast that includes Ashley Judd, Julie Andrews, Billy Crystal, Seth MacFarlane and Ryan Shecker.
The Former Football Player Is Now a Hockey Player .
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson said he was struck by the way hockey is being played all throughout the filming of the movie, which was taken at the Kings Former home the Forum. He said it was very fast that his respect to the actual professional hockey players considerably grew.
The Rock also said that his appreciation now to the game is unbelievable. He also mentioned that he had the chance to spend an ample amount of time with several hockey players being on the ice and up in Vancouver. He also described the violent collisions of the game to be really incredible after he watched how the game is played with great speed.
Being a former football player, Johnson also compared his perceptions when watching the professional hockey game to the first time he watched a football game from the sidelines.
“The speed of the game is incredible, and on top of that, I was also impressed with how little padding the hockey players were wearing, compared to my football buddies,” Johnson uttered.
Some of the hockey players who were extras in the movie are John Zeiler and Kyle Quincey. He described the perspective and advice he got from them as critical.
Last Saturday, Johnson watched the Kings game against Boston Bruins at Staple Center. And before the game started, Johnson was handed a personalized Kings jersey by team president Luc Robitaille. He also participated in the puck drop ceremonial.
He said that the Kings organization has really been tremendous—starting from Luc Robitaille down to other people who make up the organization. “All the players have been awesome and the support has been tremendous. The partnership we’ve created here is going to be a long lasting one,” he said.
